It was maybe after 1 hour odd driving from Unzen(雲仙). Driving was just pleasant; the road was good, and the weather perfectly sunny to drive. But it was still hot, so I began to be sleepy.
“Small” fishes in plastic bags are not for eating, but only for soup. The very taste of Japanese noodles is based firstly on its soup that contains the noodle, and the title of noodles are normally decided by the origin of soup. Yes, above flying-fishes are for soup itself, and after More >

Driving on a perfectly unknwon road in the night, especially in a foreign country, is surely stressful task, even though a helpful GPS navigation is equipped in a car. Yes, I did that last night, so I slept early and deeply.
Thanks to my early sleep, I can have some time to walk around Unzen area, just out of hotel lobby.
One of the nicest ideas with this (almost) permanently boiling hot spring is to cook something with it. And one of the easist but never failing ways is More >

As soon as I got my rent-a-car from the Nagasaki airport, I drove to Unzen(雲仙) located about 1 hour and half away by car. Since it was 6 p.m. already, I hurried up a bit, not to drive on perfectly unknown road in night-time. But the sun went down earlier than I thought.
Suddenly, GPS drove me to one-way mountain roads; which were so serpentine that the maximum speed was around 30 km/h. Worsely enough, I had to wait and let other cars to pass by, because the road was one-way. Just one inch out of my rent-a-car, everything was dark and More >

NGS – Nagasaki Airport was small and cute; in Japanese way of talking, “kawai(lovely cute)”. But, similar with other big-time airports in Japan, for instance, KIX – Kansai Airport near Osaka and NGO – Chubu Centrair International Airport near Nagoya, it was created on a offshore island. The difference is that whereas those KIX and NGO were built on artificial islands, NGS was built from a “real” island whose shape was seriously different from nowadays’ – a square.
Anyway, it is obviously one of the Japanese construction wonders. So, for those who is More >

I needed some fresh air. It was one summer day when its everyday atmosphere was getting hotter and wetter, making me helpless. I felt like a polar bear at a zoo in Equatorial Guinea. This symptom means, “It’s time to go out and kick some ass”; thus, I headed to Nagasaki-ken(長崎県), Japan, in August 2009. It supposed to be only 3 days of refreshing, but gave me a lot more days of relief, dreaming of some exotic days there.
Seriously, don’t go there in August! It’s bloody hot and wet; wet like seawater-salty More >
